SILVER CITY DAYS FUN RUN

The Silver City Days Fun Run is back after a few years off.  Head Coach of the Trail Track and Field Club Dan Horan (Hoe-Ran) told Mountain FM's Overtime they've helped get it going again.  You can register at trailtrackclub.ca, at Gerrick Cycle in Trail or at Gyro park on Sunday morning.

In local Ladies Senior Division Softball, Castlegar Team #1 tied Salmo at 4.  In the Junior Division, Salmo crushed Castlegar Team #2 by a score of 20 to 2.

KELLINGTON TO TRAIL

The Trail Smoke Eaters have added a high powered offensive player from Vancouver Island.  James Kellington was on top of the VIJHL in scoring until a mid season ankle injury.  He scored 47 points in 33 games of Junior B hockey last season.

WOLFPAC HOME OPENER

The West Kootenay Wolfpac lost 15-3 and 15-7 to Kelowna in their Junior B Lacrosse home openers this weekend.  They drew good crowds on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon in Castlegar.

BULLS AT BULL-A-RAMA

The meanest bulls in all of Canada are coming to Trail for Kootenay Chrystler Bull-A-Rama.  Breeder Kelly Armstrong says he's never seen community support for a bull riding event like there is in Trail.  It all happens on May third at the Cominco Arena.

SOCCER PROVINCIALS

The girls soccer provincials are coming to the Kootenay South region this July.  Organizer Doug Swanson told Mountain Fm's Overtime they need more volunteers.  There will be games in Trail, Fruitvale and Castlegar.  Any interested volunteers can contact Swanson at 367-9224.

TRAIL TOPS NELSON IN RUGBY

In local rugby, the Trail Colonials topped the Nelson Grizzlies 20-12 in their first match of the year.  Nelson's next game will be May 3rd against Vernon.
