CANADA ROCKS

In 1999 Jay Walker discovered radio – after a grueling 13-hour back surgery he was stuck in bed with nothing else to do but listen to the radio. Some days he would listen for 15 hours straight and was enthrawled by new bands and music that he never heard before, to the point that by the end of the day he was singing lyrics to bands he just discovered that morning.

“What blew me away was the DJ’s had this passion to share their love for new music… What was even more shocking was the fact that you could make a living at it!”

Its with that same passion that we bring you Canada Rocks – a weekly show that we consider a “New Music Party” every week – Modern rock, alternative rock, indie rock, prog rock – Our country is loaded with bands that are raising the bar day in and day out – and Canada Rocks showcases them. No matter how big the band, Indie or Major? To be on-board, it’s just gotta be good!
