A man has died at the Shambhala Music Festival near Salmo.

 

Police say 23 year old Mitchell Joseph Fleishacker from Sidney suffered an apparent drug overdose Sunday morning.  He was taken to hospital in Trail and later pronounced dead.

 

RCMP Staff Sergeant Dan Seibel says they're investigating along with the Coroners Service.  He says an autopsy will be performed and is expected to give them a better idea of the cause of death and any contributing factors.

 

Fleishacker didn't have any ID on him so confirming his identity was a challenge.
