Man Passed Out And Bleeding In Nelson
Emergency crews responded to reports of a man who was passed out and bleeding in Nelson.
The man was drunk and had fallen down and cut his forehead at the public dock at the foot of Hall Street on Friday evening. The 50 year old was roused by police and ambulance, but was uncooperative.
He was taken to hospital and eventually transported to nelson police cells where he was lodged overnight and then released in the morning once sober.
Also on friday, a theft occured at the spca facility at 524 Falls Street.
A substantial amount of cash was taken from the donation box used to assist animals in need. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
And Nelson Police are reminding the public to take necessary precautions after several sightings of a bear in the lower Rosemont area.
It was been seen in the 1100 block of McQuarrie street down to the pathway off Lakeview Crescent that leads to the tunnel under the highway and onto Railway Avenue.
