Should Red Mountain's major expansion be a prompt for less enthusiastic regional partners to get behind the Trail Airport?

 

It's a question we put to Trail councillor and regional rep Robert Cacchioni. 

 

He figures with the Red Mountain Resort owners looking to expand family friendly visitation it makes sense for the company to let Rossland know what potential there is for the airport. Not all east-end community partners agree with Trail that there's a need to invest big in the airport and a recent report cast doubt on its significance as an economic driver.

 

A review is underway to determine what funding the local communities should be investing in the facility.
