Heavy Snowfall Expected On Local Passes
If you're planning an early get-away for Easter the message is "it's still winter on our passes."
Up to 25 centimetres of snow could fall on the Paulson and Kootenay passes Wednesday afternoon and evening with more to follow Thursday.
Emcon's Joe Mottishaw says 13 centimetres fell on the Paulson Tuesday night when the forecast was for rain.
He says it's been one heck of a winter, and the busiest in terms of snowfall in Emcon's 20-year maintenance history.
Crews will be out in force but Mottishaw is asking motorists to drive with caution.
